Performer/Costume Designer
Tony Nyugen
Prior to his training at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Tony studied fashion at RMIT and worked in the fashion industry locally and internationally. During his study at the VCA Tony worked with choreographers Helen Herbertson, Gideon Obarzanek, Becky Hilton, Brett Daffy, James Sutton and Simon Ellis. Since graduating from the VCA in 2004 Tony has worked with various independent artists in Melbourne and performed in the Melbourne Fringe Festival. In 2005 Tony was offered a scolarship to perform with the Ajkun Ballet Theatre in New York. Xingis the first project that Tony has worked with Feng Feng Wang, it is also the first time Tony has both performed and collaborated with the costume design in the same work.
